The argument
Growth breaks judgement before it breaks process. Process can be documented and audited; judgement was previously transmitted by working next to someone better than you. When headcount outpaces that transmission, firms substitute consistency of process for consistency of judgement, and clients experience the difference immediately.
The talk is candid about the trade-off: the second kind of consistency is slow, expensive, and the only one worth having.
